Questions we are asked

Direct answers to the questions that come in most often. If something you need is missing, write to the office and we will answer it and add it here.

About the office

What does AfriQuest actually sell?
Three things: published knowledge and courses that an individual can buy directly, institutional systems we design and build, and advisory work on programmes and climate finance. The first is priced on the page; the other two are quoted in writing.
How big is the team?
It is deliberately small: a founder who owns the doctrine, programme design and climate-finance knowledge, and an engineering lead who builds and runs the platform. Specialists are brought in for a defined piece of work when a project needs them.
Where is the office based?
AfriQuest Projects LLC is a registered company; engineering and platform operations are based in Kigali, Rwanda. Work is delivered remotely and, where a programme requires it, in country.

The operating system

What is AIOS in plain terms?
It is the set of written rules and records that keeps decision authority with the institution: who may approve what, what evidence a decision requires, and what happens after an application arrives. Those controls are built into software instead of living in one person’s head.
Is it finished?
No, and we do not describe it as finished. The public site, registration, course delivery and the study assistant are live. The governing architecture is in design and automation is being added in stages, each one signed off before it goes further.
Does the AI make decisions on its own?
Only inside limits agreed in writing beforehand. Routine steps can be automatic; anything that commits the institution goes to a named person for approval, and every run is logged so it can be reviewed afterwards.

Learning and certificates

Are the certificates accredited?
No. A certificate records that you completed a course and met the pass standard. It is not a degree and not an accredited qualification, and we state that on the certificate itself.
What is the pass standard?
Assessments are marked against a fixed threshold rather than a curve, and a resit is available where the course allows one. The rule is the same for everyone taking that course.
What is the study assistant, and can it do my assessment for me?
It answers questions from our published material and points you to the source. It is deliberately restricted so it will not hand over assessment answers — it explains the material instead.

Climate and carbon work

Is climate finance the whole of AfriQuest?
No. It is one applied domain inside the office and the one with the deepest published material behind it. The knowledge systems and the operating system serve programmes well beyond it.
Are the frameworks yours?
Yes. The named frameworks published in this work are the intellectual property of Afriquest Climate Wealth Advisory, LLC. You may read and cite them; commercial use requires a written licence.
Can you advise on an investment?
Not in the regulated sense. We provide knowledge, method and structure. Decisions on capital remain with you and your licensed advisers.

Working with us

How does a partnership start?
With a written description of the programme, the country and what you need to be true at the end of it. We reply with a view on fit, then a scope and a price in writing before anything begins.
How long does an engagement take?
It depends on the scope, and we give a date range in the written scope rather than a promise on a first call. Systems work is delivered in stages so you can see progress rather than wait for one hand-over.
Can a university run our courses under its own name?
That is handled as a partnership with terms agreed in writing, covering the curriculum, who awards what, and how completion is recorded. Write to the office to start that conversation.

Data and privacy

What do you do with the information I submit?
It is used to answer you and to run the programme you applied to, kept only as long as that requires, and not sold. Access is limited to the people whose role needs it, and every access is recorded.
Can I have my data removed?
Yes. Write to the office and we will delete what we are not legally required to retain, and tell you plainly what must be kept and why.

Still unanswered?
